GOUVERNEUR— A Potsdam man accused of assault with a wooden stick was arrested at 12:15 p.m. Tuesday by Gouverneur-based state police.

Codey A. Royce, 22, of 38 Ames Road, Potsdam, was charged with first-degree assault, second-degree robbery and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon.

Mr. Royce was allegedly captured on video demanding items from Uncle Tom’s Head Shop, located at 1435 County Route 24 in Gouverneur, then hitting employee T.J.
