WADDINGTON - Matt Rutherford birdied the 13th, 14th, 17th and 18th holes shooting a medalist round of 33 on the back nine to take shotmaking honors at the Murrays Iish Inn Golf League last Thursday. Dan Dinneen continued his impresive play this season with a 34 birdieing four and five on the front side.
At the halfway point of the season, the B Division race is very tight with five teams separated by half a point at the top. Eugene and Sam LaBarge and Richard and Steve Silver are both tied at the lead with 44.5 points. They are followed by Dan Dinneen/Jeff Stein, J.I. Mayette/Bruce Kavan and Bryan Mott/Rick Mayette with 44 Pts.
In the A Division, Gary LaPoint and Gil Simons lead with 53.5 Pts followed by Craig Bogart/Ryan Hayes with 46.5 Pts. Rick Magnusson/Vince Regan and Gabe Halpin/Greg Hollis are tied for third place with 46 Pts.
High team point honors for the week went to Carl Burnham/Toby Kennedy with 8.5. This team has supposedly been known to have Common Sense since these two snowbirds dont play if the temperature gets below 50 degrees.
