The PlaceII, DaVinci’s win OWS pair; Nig’s prevails

The Place II and DaVinci’s recorded doubleheader sweeps while Nig’s Tavern and the Place I also prevailed in Ogdensburg Women’s Softball play.

Nig’s Tavern 17, Buster’s 3: Austie Claxton crushed a homerun, a double and two singles and Lori LaRue connected for a triple and four singles to lead Nig’s Tavern. Kristy Farrell and Brittany Kenyon each ripped a triple and three singles while Cheryl Kenyon (three singles), Stacie Kinney (two singles), Amy Raven (two singles), and Misty Hillespie (two singles) all contributed.

Barb Miller smacked a triple and Kareen Bedford, Beth Luck, Erica Bedford and Jamie Burwell all singled twice for Buster’s. Kelsey Bedford chipped in a single.

The Place II 25, Doug’s 10: Andrea Duvall smacked a homerun,a double and two singles and Rachel Morley and Ginelle Morley each stroked a triple and three singles to lead The Place II. Abbey Basford roped three singles while Jen Dashnaw, Taylor Jordan, Jackie Sullivan, Katie O’Connor, and Chelsea Bice all singled twice.

Jordan Wells and Miranda Typhair connected for a double and a single for Doug’s Tavern. Jenn Ethridge lined three singles while Heidi Newcomb and Megan Kanaly each singled twice. Eliza Ladouceur chipped in a double.

The Place II 18, Ogd. Bowl 0: Rachel Morley smacked a homerun and a single, Jen Dashnaw belted a pair of doubles and a single, and Ginelle Morley, Taylor Jordan and Jackie Sullivan each ripped a double and a two singles to lead The Place II. Abbey Basford, Andrea Duvall and Katie O’Connor each stroked two singles and Chelsea Bice, Cheyene Martin, and Jill Havens added singles.

DaVinci’s over Kozy’s: Mackenzie Ferguson crushed a pair of homerun,s a double and two singles and Chris Stevenson launched a homerun, a triple, two doubles and a single to lead DaVinci’s. Stacie Hitsman added four hits while Kersten Massia (three singles), Erin McMartin (double, two singles), Lauren Peters (triple, two singles), Laura Irvine (double, two singles), Brittany Dority (two singles) and Kristine Williams (three singles) rounded out the effort.

Stacey Wilbanks and Colleen Downing each singled twice for Kozy’s and Tabitha Addington and Stacey Vessel singled.

DaVinci’s 19, Ogd. Bowl 8: Consistent hitting throughout the lineup lifted DaVinci’s as Brandy Bogardus belted a homerun and a single and Mackenzie Ferguson provided two doubles and two singles. Other contributions came from: Kersten Massia (two singles), Erin MacMartin (single, double), Lauren Peters (three doubles), Tracey Lalonde (double), Chris Stevenson (three singles), Jen Pratt (single, double), Laura Irvine (two singles, double), Stacie Hitsman (two singles) and Brittany Dority (single).

Alicia Duvall smacked a double and three singles for The Bowl. Other contributors were: Megan Morrison (double, single), Sarah Morrison (single), Sheena Seguin (single), Amanda Barr (three singles), Liz Kennedy (single), Christina Bush (single), Kasey McDonald (single), Emily Morrison (three singles) and Lindsay Biccum (two singles).

Place 1 18 - Vinn’s 6: Nicole Fisher hammered two homeruns and two doubles, Jocelyn Fifield and Julie Backus each stroked four singles and Sharon Reed poled a double and two singles to lead the winning offense. Brooke Enslow singled tree times and Kim Winters added two hits.

Tara Pharoah belted a homerun and two singles and Rosie Turnbull lined a triple and two singles for Vinn’s followed by Jessie Carr with three singles and Alison Bixby with two singles.
