DEBBIE MARIE (WEHRLE) WALKO age 45 of Plum, PA, on Sunday, July 8, 2012, died peacefully in her home surrounded by her loving family after a courageous four-year battle with breast cancer. Her motto was “fight like a girl” and she did until the very end. Beloved wife of Joe Walko. Adoring mother of Jake and Trevor Walko. Cherished daughter of Tom and Linda Wehrle. Sister and best friend of Diane Davis (Brad), David Wehrle (Beverly), Dan Wehrle (Lisa). Aunt of eight nieces and nephews. Also survived by countless loving in-laws, cousins, friends and neighbors. Debbie graduated from University of Pittsburgh with a dual degree in psychology and business in 1995. She was a salesperson of the year, homeroom mom, PTA organizer, football and baseball mom, CCD teacher, community volunteer, special needs teacher, bartender, dancer and joyous lover of life. She was an intensely devoted mother, wife, sister and friend. She had a remarkable spirit and an unforgettable smile that lit up every room. “Live, laugh, love.” Survived by aunts and uncles from Ogdensburg: Richard and Bev Sherry, Elizabeth Duprey, Mary Catherine Sherry, Tom & Barb Sherry, Pat & Gary Mandigo, and several cousins. Friends received Tuesday 6-8 PM and Wednesday 2-4 & 6-8 PM at MAURICE L. KNEE, LTD. FUNERAL HOME 7663 Saltsburg Rd. (across from S & T Bank) Plum, PA 15239. Mass of Christian Burial Thursday, 11 AM, Our Lady of Joy Church. Interment Plum Creek Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Susan G.
