3-0 M-W U17 Girls Soccer hosts festival tonight

MADRID - The Madrid-Waddington U17 Girls Soccer team will take a 3-0 record into tonight’s nine-team soccer festival on the four field at Madrid-Waddington Central School. Games will be played at 4:30, 5:30, 6:30 and 7:30 p.m.

M-W 3 - Colton 1: Taylor Lenney scored twice, Desiree Pryce netted a single goal and Katie Marcellus passed out an assist to back Cassidy Scott’s seven saves in goal.

M-W 3 - Lisbon 0: Kayleigh Field, Taylor Lenney and Katie Marcellus scored goals and Taylor Lenney and Mary Beth Young passed out assists in the victory where M-W needed to overcome a stellar 20-save effort by Lisbon goalie Jackie Sovie. Cassidy Scott and Emily Doelger combined on the shutout.

M-W 4 - Malone 0: Emily Doelger stopped 12 sahots to post the shutout while Mary Beth Young, Taylor Lenney, Ashley LaFleur and Aleigh Palmer scored goals. Katie Marcellus contributed an assist to the victory.
