LOWVILLE — Lewis County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a one-vehicle accident on Number Four Road Friday afternoon just outside the village.

According to police, a pick-up truck left the roadway and hit a power pole, causing brief power outages in the area.

State police and Lowville village police assisted in directing traffic at disabled traffic lights. Investigating officers Sgt. Richard Knight and Deputy Raymond Ortlieb were still on scene Friday afternoon and had not released an official report.
