FC Freeze ladies hand Dow Electric First loss

POTSDAM FC Freeze handed Dow Electric of Colton-Parishville its first loss of the North Country Women’s soccer League season in a 3-1 decision on Wednesday.

Ari Czech scored the lone goal for Dow Electric which dropped to 8-1 and into a first place tie with Potsdam II which bested Edwards-Knox 4-1. FC Freeze moved within one game of the lead at 8-2-0.

In other games Akwesasne nipped Norwood-Norfolk 2-1, Canton nipped Potsdam I 1-0 and Harrisville received a 1-0 forfeit win from Massena.

Standings: Potsdam II 8-1-0, Dow Electric Colton-Parishville 8-1, FC Freeze 8-2-0, Massena 4-4-1, Norwood-Norfolk 4-5-0, Harrisville 4-5-0, Akwesasne 3-5-1, Edwards-Knox 3-5-0, Canton 2-6-1, Potsdam I 2-7-0, Heuvelton 1-6-1.

Sunday: Edwards-Knox at Canton.

Monday: Akwesasne at Heuvelton.
