Massena: Sarah Terminelli, 90, of Somerset Ave. Massena, passed away on August 3, 2012 at her home, surrounded by her loving family, while under the care of Hospice. Sarah was born on April 9, 1922 in Plati, Italy the daughter of Joseph and Maria (Pristia) Ciampa. She married Joseph P.

Terminelli on December 13, 1947 at St. Mary’s Church in Massena. Mr.

Terminelli predeceased her on January 25, 1989. Together with her husband they operated the Adams Restaurant in Massena for 35 years. Sarah is survived by her five children, son, Joseph F. and wife Elizabeth of Massena; Eva and husband Ed Higgins of Liverpool, NY: Josephine and husband Dan Deshaies of Chelmsford, MA; Linda Cameron of Columbia, TN; Mary and husband Donald Hopkins of Calleoka, TN; 10 grandchildren, four great grandchildren, a brother Mike Ciampa of Massena, many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by son Adam Terminelli, a brother Frank Ciampa, sisters, Maria Barbaro, Anna Fotia and Frances Calabria. Sarah enjoyed cooking for her family and friends, she also enjoyed to crochet and garden. She was a member of Sacred Heart League at St. Mary’s Church. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice & Palliative Care of St. Lawrence Valley. A Mass of resurrection will be held on August 6, 2012 at 10:00 am at St. Mary’s Church in Massena. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Friends and family may call on Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at the Phillips Memorial Home in Massena.
