Daniel N. Ortiz, 27, of 107 W. Lynde St., was arrested Friday night after city police allege he kicked a woman in the left eye during a domestic fight.

He is also accused of choking the woman, Melissa R. Morales, same address, while holding her down in bed, causing her to become dizzy, police said.

Police detained Mr. Ortiz to await arraignment on charges of criminal obstruction of breath and blood circulation, harassment, and fourth-degree criminal mischief for smashing a glass belonging to Ms. Morales.
