Jefferson Community College Foundation is promising to match donations up to $10,000 for the Education Demonstrating Growth and Excellence (EDGE) scholarship program.
The two-year colleges program allows high school students to take college courses for credit during the school day. According to a press release, nearly 550 area students took at least one EDGE course last spring.
The JCC Foundation wants to invest in talented local high school students who have financial need, said JCC Foundation Executive Director Christine M. Rizzo in the press release. Our brightest students deserve the chance to earn college credit early.
To make a donation, call 315-786-2291 or mail a check to JCC Foundation, 1220 Coffeen St., Watertown, N.Y. 13601 and write EDGE Scholarship and the school district of choice in the memo line.
