BOONVILLE A Lowville man on Thursday was accused of selling synthetic marijuana from his business in this Oneida County village.
Oneida County sheriffs deputies charged Thomas M. Seymour, 69, the proprietor of The Sporting Edge at 103 Main St., with violating a village ban on synthetic drugs. He is to answer the charge in Village Court.
The charge stemmed from an investigation into a July 27 incident on the grounds of the Oneida County/Boonville Fair in which a juvenile stated that he was not feeling well due to the effects of smoking synthetic marijuana, according to a Sheriffs Department release. That ultimately led investigators to Mr. Seymours shop, where an unspecified quantity of the drug was located and later confiscated, the release states.
