■ GREAT BEND — The Carthage Central School District Board of Education will meet at 6 p.m. Monday in the high school cafeteria following the summer school graduation.

■ PHILADELPHIA — The town’s Zoning Board of Appeals will host a public hearing regarding area variances for properties at 36954 Ore Bed Road and 35563 Holkins Road at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the town office, 33019 Route 11.

■ DEXTER — The General Brown Central School District Board of Education has approved tax collection dates from Sept. 4 to Oct. 1 with no penalty, Oct. 2 to 31 with a 2 percent penalty and Nov. 1 and 2 with a 3 percent penalty.

■ CARTHAGE — The Wilna/Carthage Democratic Committee will caucus at 7:10 p.m. Aug. 29 at the American Legion, 415 West St., to nominate candidates for the following offices, all four-year terms: Village Court justice, Town Court justice and two village trustee positions.
