ALEXANDRIA BAY An unidentified woman was injured when her personal watercraft was hit by a boat in Goose Bay early Sunday night.
The woman, whose name was not released Sunday night, suffered a major cut on one of her legs, but the injury was not considered life threatening, said Alexandria Bay Fire Chief Robert G. Service II. She was taken by ambulance to Samaritan Medical Center.
A Jefferson County emergency dispatcher said the call came in at 6:37 p.m. and was reported as a boat crashing into a personal watercraft.
The assistant fire chief surmised the injury was caused by the boats propeller. The woman was pulled out of the water by the people in the boat and brought to shore.
Jefferson County sheriffs deputies were investigating; no other details were available.
