SULPHUR SPRINGS — Alice G. Alcombrack, 91, passed away on August 19, 2012 at the Samaritan Medical Center. Born July 2, 1921, one of 13 children of Georgiana and George Branche of Rosiere, N.Y.

Alice married Wesley C. Alcombrack, general contractor and Town of Hounsfield Zoning Officer on August 8th, 1942. Wesley died on September 6, 2006.

Surviving by four children, Judy Stream of Columbus, Ohio, Bruce and Cheryl Alcombrack of Sulphur Springs, Marlene and Carson Lennox of Sulphur Springs and Keith Alcombrack and companion Donna Berkman of Pittsburgh, PA. 8 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, her twin brother Allen Branche of Watertown, sisters Audrey Misercola of Sandy Creek and Beatrice Defeo of Vermont also survive.

Alice was predeceased by her sisters Florence Hayes, Francis VanDewater, Doris Moore, Anna West all of Watertown, Helen Snyder of Arizona, Maurice Branche of Sandy Creek, Robert Branche died in Germany and George Branche of Alaska.

Alice was employed at Bomax/Gould’s and Calavos. She was known to be the hardest working woman especially mowing her lawn and taking care of her beautiful flowers. She enjoyed her children and grandchildren, family gatherings, casino’s and playing cards. Alice was a founding member of the Sulphur Springs Ladies Auxiliary and a life-time member of 41 years. In her younger years she loved to hunt and snowmobile.

The family will receive friends at the Johnson Funeral Home, Dexter on Tuesday from 6-9 P.M. A funeral service will be held at the Sulphur Springs Church on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. and burial will be in Sulphur Springs Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers a memorial contribution to Alice may be made to the Sulphur Springs Auxiliary or Sulphur Springs Methodist Church.

Her family also wanted to give Special Thanks to Dr. Wetterhan and the 4th Floor Nurses and Staff.
