An update on Republican congressional candidate Matt Doheny's schedule today: It appears his appearance in Evans Mills is being scrapped. Instead, he'll attend a belly-flop contest starting at 2:15 in Alexandria Bay. It's being sponsored by the Rotary Club.

Spokesman Jude Seymour said that Mr. Doheny, who will face Rep. Bill Owens, D-Plattsburgh, is not a participant in the contest.
