Jefferson County Legislator Jim Nabywaniec, R-Calcium, was ticketed on a driving while intoxicated charge in the town of LeRay on Thursday evening.

Mr. Nabywaniec, who is the chairman of the county Board of Legislators Health and Human Services Committee, released the following statement on Saturday;

"On Thursday evening, I went out to dinner with my brother and his family who are visiting from out of town. While driving home, I was ticketed for DWI. As always I take full responsibility for my actions. I will work through the process and put this matter behind me."
