St. Marguerite DYouville Academy is hosting its annual Fall Festival this weekend with events scheduled to include the whole family.
The festival, a fundraiser for the private, Catholic elementary school, will take place at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 721 Hasbrouck St.
I want them to have a good time, said Principal Celina Burns said of attendees to the festival.
Festivities begin at 8 p.m. today at the Knights of Columbus with dancing and a cash bar.
Carl Perkins will play the guitar and sing, and Matt George is slated to be the events DJ.
Mrs. Burns said the event is a time for the whole community to come together.
On Saturday and Sunday, from noon to 4 p.m., there will be bounce houses, sumo wrestling and other games open to the public.
Saturday will see kids take to the soccer fields at 9 a.m. in a tournament that will last most of the day. There will be three divisions based on age groups.
Additionally, adults will be able to play in a special league on Sunday at 9 a.m.
Forms to register for the soccer tournament can be picked up at the academy, obtained by emailing cburns@smdacademy.org or reserved by calling the academy at 393-0165.
At 10 a.m. on Saturday a Zumbathon hosted by Beth Tombililo will be held inside the Knights of Columbus at a cost of $5 per person.
On Sunday at 1 p.m. a youth basketball tournament will be held, and Julies Dance Studio will perform at 2 p.m.
