Richard Partch, senior university professor at the Center for Advanced Materials Processing at Clarkson University, spoke with students at Morristown Central School Thursday about his research on preparing antidotes for designer drugs and therapeutics, like cocaine, methamphetamine, tylenol and ibuprofen, using microemulsions and polarity differences. These microemulsions could provide emergency personnel an immediate antidote for potential overdose. Kneeling from left are Tristan Gilmour, Samantha Hall, Mr. Partch, Katie Rusaw and Erica Baldwin.
