The OFA JV Girls Soccer Team posted a 7-4 victory over Madrid-Waddington on Thursday. Winger Kiera Johnson scored early in the first half followed by a lofted outside shot from Jordyn Marcellus for a tally.
Striker Lexi Kennedy scored with 4:10 left in the first half. Midfielder Mikayla Charlton scored six minutes into the second half, followed by a hat trick from midfield player Taylor Smith who assisted by Kiera Johnson and Mollee Ahrens.
Outside defenders Janell Cordwell and Morgan Gagnon played solid defense and
Courtney Barley and Sarah Bracy supplied fine hustle on the front line according to Coach Renee Tebo.
Keeper Alicia Garcia collected three saves in the victory.
MADRID - The Madrid-Waddington JV Boys Soccer team earned a well played 1-0 decision over Ogdensburg on Thursday. The Jackets scored on a penalty kick.
For OFA, Issac Sovie made 15 saves in net as Austin Putman, Dylan Jock, and Hayden Woods played solid defense. Noah Moore and Nolan Rishe worked hard up front while Nathan Stowe, Tristan Moore and Zach Ashley were solid in the middle.
