MORRISTOWN – A 19-year-old Morristown man who had been charged by Ogdensburg-based state police with trespass, petit larceny and making a false written statement was also charged Saturday in connection with two previous burglaries that had been reported on Dec. 22 and Sept. 11 in Ogdensburg.
Anthony J. Ditale was also charged by Ogdensburg-based state police with fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property. He was released on an appearance ticket.
Canton-based state police charged Mr. Ditale with two counts of third-degree burglary-illegal entry on Saturday. He was ordered held on those charges.
State police said that, during their investigation into a petit larceny case in Morristown, they lined Mr. Ditale to the Ogdensburg burglaries.
State police also charged Brandon E. Shaver, 17, of Ogdensburg, and Matthew J. Tuper, 17, of Brier Hill with trespass and petit larceny. Mr. Shaver was also charged with fifth-degree criminal possession of marijuana. They were released on appearance tickets.
