MADRID – St. Lawrence County Sheriff’s deputies charged Michael J. Streeter, 23, of 307 Halfway House Road, Waddington, with fourth-degree criminal mischief and an unsafe start Sunday following an investigation into damage to crops on the Brandy Brook Road in the town of Madrid. Deputies said that Mr. Streeter drove his pickup truck off the road and into two seeded fields early Sunday morning, causing damage. He then pulled into a driveway and, in the process of leaving, spun his tires in the roadway. He was released to appear at a later date in Madrid Town Court.
