The relocation of Parkway Ford Inc. from Potsdam to Ogdensburg is all but complete.
Forty-seven new and used cars, trucks and sport utility vehicles are on display and for sale in the lot at Parkway Super Store, 9890 Route 37. The vehicles were moved there from what was until recently the dealers showroom at 157 Market St., Potsdam,
Parkway co-owner Wade C. Wood said Monday that additional relocation details still need to be resolved.
Were still switching things, he said.
An open house will be held sometime next week, Mr. Wood said.
The relocation from Potsdam to Ogdensburg came about as a result of an order from Ford Motor Co. corporate to find more space for sales and service. The Potsdam facility, which Parkway leases, doesnt have room for expansion, according to Mr. Wood.
The Super Store sells Polaris-brand recreational vehicles and accessories in addition to trailers and campers, and has room to spare. It is all housed in a 15,000-square-foot building that contains offices, a showroom and a service area with accommodations for between seven and 10 vehicle repair bays. A nearby building has room for six bays.
The former Potsdam dealerships 12 employees will work in Ogdensburg with the nine employees already there.
Parkways other St. Lawrence County businesses are: Parkway Chrysler-Dodge-Jeep, Russell Road, Canton; Parkway Country Store, River Road, Lisbon; Parkway Express convenience store/gas stations on Route 37 in Morristown and Route 56 in Norfolk; and another Parkway Express convenience store/gas station in Ogdensburg at Route 37 and Outer Champlain Street.
