TORONTO, Ont. - Canton’s Sam Bradman was the second American player chosen in the National Lacrosse League on Monday in Toronto.

Bradman, a three-time All-American at Salisbury State University and the only player to win the MVP Award in the NCAA Division III Tournament two years in a row, was chosen in the third round of the draft by the Minnesotta Swarm.

Bradman, who is now playing in an outdoor lacrosse league on a team based in California, was the 24th overall selection in the draft.

Bradman, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Dave Bradman of Canton, set two NCAA Division III lacrosse records at Salisbury State by scoring seven goals in a playoff game.

The league draft was being aired on YouTube.
