Kiwanis Youth Soccer League heats up

The Ogdensburg Kiwanis Youth Soccer circuits have shown a bounty of intensity and excitement in recent action.

Bradley’s Service 4, Bruces Plumbing-Heating 1: Thomas Pratt scored all four goals with assists going to Russell Young, Hailey Reed,l and Carson Wescott. Amanda Self was the goalkeeper. Baylen Dupree scored from Emma LeBeau for Bruce’s and Grant LeBeau was solid in goal.

Peters Beauty Salon 4, Medicine Place 1: Zach Roberts scored three goals and Gavin Amo scored once for Peter’s as Katie Rogers chipped in two assists. Kyle Trombley and Ethan Baldwin posted the win in goal. Kelson Hooper and Connor Griffith played well for Medicine Place.

Peter’s Beauty Salon 3, Bruce’s Heating-Plumbing 1: Gavin Amo, Zach Roberts and Paul Austin scored with Kyle Trombley, Ethan Baldwin, and Zach Robert playing goal. Nathan McNally scored for Bruce’s. Grant LeBeau played solid in goal while Katelyn Sibley and Christina Pratt playing well.

Bradley’s 3, Medicine Place 1: Brock Morley scored twice and Thomas Pratt added a goal for Bradley’s which received solid play from Jayden West and Connor Guasconi. Connor Griffith scored for the Medicine Place.

Peter’s Beauty Salon 2, Medicine Place 1: Zach Roberts and Andrew Mills each scored once with Ethan Baldwin and Kyle Trombley performing well in net. Payton Lago, Paul Austin and Payton Fortune played well offensively in the win.

Peter’s Beauty Salon 3, Bruce’s Plumbing-Heating 1: Zach Roberts, Gavin Amo and Paul Austin all scored with Kyle Trombley and Ethan Baldwin secured the win in goal. Nathan McNally scored for Bruce’s. Grant LeBeau was the goalie while Katelyn Sibley, Emma Smithers, and Christine Pratt played solid on both sides of the ball.

Peter’s Beauty Salon 3, Lisbon Lions 0: Gavin Amo, Zach Roberts and Lena Lesperance figured in the scoring with Andrew Mills logging an assist for Peter’s. Lane Bouchey, Hayden McBath, Karter Jordan, Josh O’Brien, Colton Stemples, Emma Stemples and Gabby Kroeger played extremely well for Lisbon.

DeFelsko 3, Jill’s Dance Studio 0: Ria Amo, Ryan Warchol, Paige Shaver and Cadence Payne turned in strong midfield play while Sophia Bobb and Emma Lalone anchored the defensive end for the DeFelsko win. Justice McIntyre netted a natural hat trick and shared the goaltending duties with Amo and Warchol. For Jill’s Dance Studio, Maria Murphy, Aaron Staie and Grace Hilborne turned in hustling performances.

DeFelsko 4, Peter’s Beauty Salon 0: Cooper Hunter scored the first goal of the game which proved to be his third straight game winning goal for DeFelsko. Brayden Amo scored three times in the game. Elizabeth Peo played strong in goal and Wyatt Bobb had a solid all around game.

DeFelsko 2, Medicine Place 1: Julian Rufa and Blake Amo each scored once as Hope Glover had a strong all around game. For Medicine Place, Katelyn Kennedy scored their lone goal.

Gray’s Gun Shop 3, The Dirty Gringo 1: “We are working on passing, positions, defense and teamwork. Some recent first time goal scorers include Cooper Davison, Leam McCarthy, Makayla Hyde, and Aaron Morrow,” said Coach Sara Jacobs. Against Dirty Gringo, Tyler Gravlin scored two goals with Hayes Bouchey scoring one. For the Dirty Gringo, Sadie O’Neil scored a goal.

Gray’s Gun Shop 7, Buster’s 0: Tyler Gravlin produced two goals and Griffin Walker, Emily Jordan, Kamdyn Johnson, Chase Jacobs, and Leam McCarthy each added one goal. Gray’s has seen excellent growth and leadership from Isabella Doyle, Makayla Hyde, and David Pirie on defense.

Gray’s 5, Millers Greenhouse 2: Tyler Gravline scored three goals, Makayla Hyde and Griffin Walker each scored once for Gray’s. Grace Richardson and Jackson LaRock scored for Miller’s. Alex Denny, Miles Gendebein and Olivia McLear played good defense and Caleb Richardson and Alex Denny played in the net.

KofC 3 - Medicine Place 0: Strong defensive efforts from Kelsey Sherwin, Caroline Lalone and Antoinne Skamperele in front of the goaltending tandem of Nick Sholette and Coty King sparked the KofC victory. Jake Sharpe tallied a natural hat trick with assists coming from Rose Jeneault, Natalie McCormick and Sholette. For the Medicine Place, Mason Lapiene and Kelson Hooper turned in a strong performance sharing the netminding duties with Connor Griffith leading he scoring opportunities and Claire Rishe, Kelsey Fraser and Olivia McRoberts turning in strong two-way play.
