WATERTOWN - An Ogdensburg woman was charged Wednesday by state police with shoplifting at Salmon Run Mall while having two children with her.

Amber D. Crowley, 28, of 530 Rensselaer Ave., was charged with petit larceny and endangering the welfare of a child. She is ordered to appear in Watertown Town Court.

Police said she placed merchandise priced at a total of $232 in a stroller occupied by a 7-month-old baby and attempted to leave J.C. Penney without paying. She also had a 7-year-old boy with her, police said.
