Watertown police have made three arrests as the result of street fights that occurred early Thursday and Friday mornings.
Zakary T. Bell, 22, Fort Drum, is charged with attempted second-degree assault, fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon and resisting arrest, and Anthony L. Frezzo II, 20, of 22665 Lewis St., faces a harassment charge in connection with a disturbance at about 2:20 a.m. Friday in the 700 block of Huntington Street.
Police said Mr. Bell was wearing metal knuckles when he punched Travis P. Berkman, 26, Clayton.
Mr. Frezzo struck an officer, Nathan L. McKeever, during the fight, police alleged.
Aaron R. Lolar, 27, of 926 Remington St., was arrested early Friday morning on two counts of third-degree assault following an investigation into a fight at 2 a.m. Thursday in the 200 block of Factory Street. He is accused of repeatedly hitting and kicking Anthony G. Sparks, 24, Watertown, causing the victim to lose consciousness, police said.
He also allegedly threw Jennifer K. Mercante, 25, Watertown, to the ground and struck her in the face.
Mr. Sparks was taken to Samaritan Medical Center for treatment.
Mr. Lolar has served two prison terms since September 2008, both involving convictions involving controlled substances.
