Brooklyn man indicted on burglary count

CANTON - A 26-year-old Brooklyn man charged with breaking into a village of Canton apartment faces a second-degree burglary charge.

Marco P. Avedian, 277 Manhattan Ave., Apt. 1, was charged with the Class C felony in an indictment returned Thursday by a St. Lawrence County grand jury. He allegedly broke into a residence at 68 Riverside Drive, Apt. 4, occupied by Lori E. Lichterman on Feb. 17.

Also indicted:

■ Samuel B. Sevick of 1533 County Route 47, Winthrop, charged with possessing two $20 counterfeit bills on April 15 in the village of Massena. He faces two counts of first-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument, a Class C felony.

■ Marcus L. Racine, 29, of 92 E. Orvis St., Massena, charged with one count of first-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument. He allegedly possessed a counterfeit $20 bill on March 17 in the village of Massena.

■ Theodore P. Finnerty, 29, of 508 Little Bow Road, Gouverneur, faces felony driving while intoxicated, a Class D felony.

He is accused of driving a Honda all-terrain vehicle while intoxicated July 26 on Clinton Street, village of Gouverneur.

■ Martin A. Rivers, 52, of 158 County Route 27, Canton, faces two counts of felony DWI. He allegedly drove drunk July 21 on Andrews Street, village of Massena.
