GOUVERNEUR — Kevin M. Yaw, 32, Saginaw, Mich., was arrested by village police at 3:45 p.m. Thursday and charged with seven counts of criminal contempt and one count of conspiracy.

He allegedly made seven calls from St. Lawrence County jail, Canton, to his wife, Nicole Yaw, who has a stay-away order of protection against him. The calls were made with Mrs. Yaw’s knowledge and consent, leading to conspiracy charges against both.

He is scheduled to appear in Gouverneur Town Court.
