CANTON — The Canton Fire Department responded at 4:23 a.m. Friday to a fire in an unoccupied trailer at 628 Route 11 and extinguished the blaze.

The trailer, which suffered moderate damage, is owned by Richard and Karen Fancher, 6230 Route 11.

Assisting at the scene were the Morley, Pyrites and West Potsdam fire departments.

The cause of the blaze remains under investigation.
