OFA JV’s Fall Huskies


MALONE - OFA junior varsity football receiver Nick Sweeney caught a 54 yard and a 84 yard touchdown pass from Joey Dalton in a 20-16 loss to Malone on Thursday night.

Sweeney caught five balls for 181 yards and also produced a two point conversion reception leading an aerial offense which saw Dalton complete seven out of 12 attempts for 209 yards and run for a two point conversion.

Sweeney was also one-for-one passing for 16 yards in the contest where the Huskies reversed a loss at OFA.

OFA will complete ites season with a home game against Massena at home on Wednesday at 5:30 p.m.

Taylor Richardson rushed for 62 yards on 16 totes. Owen Pearson (1-3) and Austin VanGordon (1-9) rounded out the rushing attack while Van Gordon (1-16) and Cody Rolfe (1-12) each caught passes.

Defensively, Joe Loffler produced 13 tackles and recovered a fumble for OFA and Deven Compo logged nine tackles while Andy Rickett produced eight. Richardson finished with seven while Cody Rolfe, Owen Pearson (sack), Nathand Rishe all tallied six tackles.

Rounding out the tackles were: Austin VanGordon (five), Sweeney (five), Justin Ross (four), Andrew Layng (three), Allen Smithers (one) and Anthony Pelusi (one).
