HEUVELTON - The Doug’s Tavern Winter Horseshoe League will hold an organizational meeting on Thursday, Oct. 11 at Doug’s Tavern in Heuvelton at 7 p.m.

Anyone wishing to play is urged to attend and the league is open to men and women. The league is in need of players to fill teams.

A new format is planned.

Games will be played to 21 points with no handicap. Anyone that has not played in the league before must quality so they can be positioned on a team. The drawing for teams will be held Oct. 18 at Doug’s Tavern.

League plans to begin a new season on October 25.
