CANTON — The Canton Fire Department responded at 4:23 a.m. Friday to a fire in an unoccupied trailer at 628 Route 11 and extinguished the blaze.

The trailer, which sustained moderate damage, is owned by Richard and Karen Fancher, 6230 Route 11.

Assisting were the Morley, Pyrites and West Potsdam fire departments. The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
