POTSDAM - Village police charged Maria Coppola, 19, of Ogdensburg with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and ticketed her for following too closely following a property damage accident at 11:51 a.m. Friday on Market Street near Munson Street. Police said Coppola rear-ended a vehicle being operated by Susan Goodrow of St. Regis Falls, causing the Goodrow vehicle to strike a third vehicle being operated by Nicholas Carrara of Potsdam.
