Defensemen Carter Trevisani, a former Italian Olympic team member, has agreed to terms with the Thousand Islands Privateers, the team announced Monday.

Carter played 22 games for the Italian national team, including the 2006 Olympics, and most recently two seasons with the now defunct Akwesasne Warriors of the Federal Hockey League. Last year, he posted 45 points, including 38 assists, along with 40 penalty minutes in 36 games with the Warriors.

The Privateers open their FHL season by hosting Cape Cod on Friday, Oct. 26 at 7:35 p.m. in Watertown.
