CANTON — St. Lawrence University senior midfielder Sam DeMello was named Liberty League men’s soccer performer of the week after scoring a pair of second-half goals last week in a 3-0 win against Hobart.

DeMello broke the 100-goal mark in his career, only the second Saints’ player to earn that distinction.

Ozzy Morales of SLU was also named rookie of the week in men’s soccer. Saverino Spagnolo of Clarkson was named to the men’s soccer honor roll.

Tyler Cline of Clarkson and Aimee Caligiore of SLU were named the men’s and women’s golf performers of the week. Four SLU athletes were named rookies of the week: Spencer Patterson in men’s cross country, Ella Martin in women’s cross country, Claire O’Neil in women’s golf and Miles Crump in football.

SLU’s Sam Rakoc in men’s cross country and Jack Whelan in men’s golf were named to the league honor roll.
