MASSENA - The Massena Central varsity girls volleyball team gained an NAC sweep at home over Madrid-Waddington on Tuesday.
Krista Loran served up 15 points and worked the net for two kills as the Lady Raiders won by scores of 25-9, 25-12, 25-19. Maddie Thibault contributed another 12 points toward the balanced effort while Janisa Benedict tallied seven kills, six points, two aces and two blocks.
Now 8-2 on the year, the Lady Raiders are slated to host East Division rival Franklin Academy on Friday starting at 4:30 p.m.
In the other NAC matches Tuesday, Chateaugay swept Canton and Tupper Lake took on Gouverneur.
Chateaugay 3, Canton 0: Chateaugay won 25-6, 25-17 and 25-3 to move to 11-0 on the season. The loss drop the Bears below the .500-mark to 5-6.
Paige English paced the Bulldogs with a 22-point, eight-ace, 10-assist performance. Kylie Hanley added a dozen assists to the CCS victory as Caitlin Miller supplied 10 kills and eight assists to the win.
