GOUVERNEUR - The Franklin Academy boys and Canton Central girls continued their dominance for the 2012 season after scoring convincing wins at the second NAC meet held at the Gouverneur Country Club on Tuesday.
The FA boys distanced themselves from the rest of the field with 17 points while Gouverneur placed second with 76 and Norwood-Norfolk with 88. Potsdam placed fifth with 123 points.
Connor Gordon was the individual leader in the boys race with a time of 17:25.5 as the Huskies produced five of the top six finishers.
Ethan Vinson placed fourth overall for Potsdam in a time of 17:39.8 while Kyle Fulk was Norwood-Norfolks leading scorer, placing 13th in 19:33.4
In the girls race, Canton won with 21 points followed by FA with 54, N-N with 90 and Potsdam with 94. Maria Ricalton placed first overall with a time of 21:04.2 as the Lady Bears finished 1-2-3 and took five of the top eight places.
Kaycie Saucier placed fourth overall for N-N with a time of 21:42.4 while Madi Dow of Potsdam ran ninth in 22:42.5.
