Lisbon rolls past C-F; H-D doubles up St. Regis Falls

LISBON - The Lisbon Girls Soccer team took early charged early in steady rain on Wednesday in Northern Athletic Conference West Division Soccer play against Clifton-Fine in a 7-0 decision.

The Knights (7-2-2, 6-2) scored a pair of goals just nine minutes into the game capitalizing on two of their first three shots against the 1-7 Eagles.

Beth Crowley scored from Maddie Vine in the second minute on a five yard close range shot. Crowley made it 2-0 seven minutes later from Emily Dishaw on a cross and shot from 10 yards away.

Gabby Walker later scored unassisted on a shot that graced a Eagle defender in the 17th minute. Walker assisted on Vine’s lone goal of the game in the 25th and scored in the 28th on Emily Dishaw’s second assist.

Shelby Dishaw scored back to back in the second half with Courtney Green logging an assist on the second goal.

Jackie Sovie made just two saves for Lisbon’s seventh shutout of the season. Lindsey Johnson turned back 28 shots for C-F.

Lisbon goes to Morristown on Saturday.

Hermon-DeKalb 4, St. Regis Falls 2. The Demons (5-3) took a 1-0 lead in the first half and connected for two quickies in the first five minutes of the second half to defeat the (0-8) Saints.

Abby Mott scored twice for H-D while Paige Whitton and Brook Woodrow each tallied a goal. Rhys Bryant and Rebecca Matthews shared the crease making 10 saves.

Scoring for St. Regis Falls was Madison Greenwood from Ashley Rivers and Rivers from Brittany Rondeau. Kiana Stowell had 12 saves.

Brushton-Moira 2, Malone 1: The Panthers (6-4) took a 2-0 lead on a first half goal from Rachel Tower assisted by Kenzie Traynor and a second half goal from Traynor aided by Tower. Lydia Cosgrove scored from Morgan Fountain for Malone to cut the deficit to 2-1. Ashley DeBeer made five saves for B-M. Jayme Lavoie had six saves for Malone (2-6-1).

Chateaugay 3, Norwood-Norfolk 1: Courtney Boyea scored a pair of goals - one on a penalty and one assisted by Stephanie Whyte and later assisted on Alexis Beach’s goal as the Bulldogs took a 3-0 halftime lead just 29 minutes into the game. Emily LaRoe scored from Kiresten Barkley for the Flyers.

Makayla Fleury (one save) and Holly Zeldenrust (three saves) shared the win in net for the unbeaten Bulldogs (10-0). Mickey Fregoe had 10 saves for the Flyers (3-6-1).

BOYS SOCCER

Brushton-Moira 2, Malone 0: Tristen Dumas scored from Loren Traynor in the first half and Traynor connected from Jason LaBlanc in the second half for Taylor Tallman who made 12 saves in the shutout for the 6-3-1 Panthers.

Austin LaMay had six saves for Malone (7-2-1).
