Clarkson begins its 91st season with a pair of games against a program the Golden Knights have never defeated.
Clarkson, which went 16-17-6 last year, will skate against WCHA foe Colorado College (18-16-2 last year) at 9:37 p.m. tonight and 9:07 p.m. Saturday at the World Arena in Colorado Springs.
The Tigers are 9-0-3 against Clarkson all-time, including a 5-0 record against the Golden Knights in home games.
Three of Colorado College's victories over Clarkson have come in NCAA Tournament games, including a 5-3 semifinal win in 1957, a 5-4 upset win in 1997 and a 3-1 win in 1998.
The last time the teams met was in near the start of the 2008-09 season when Colorado College entered Cheel Arena as the nation's No. 1 team and left with 1-1 and 2-2 ties.
