CANTON — J.M. McKenney Middle School, 99 State St., was locked down Friday after a student discovered a bomb threat scribbled on a stall wall in the boys’ bathroom.

The school was evacuated and the school was searched by the Canton Police Department and state police. Bomb-sniffing dogs were used, but no threat was found.

Once the search was complete, classes resumed.

Village police are investigating the source of the threat.
