BRUSHTON - The Salmon River Central varsity girls volleyball team gained a 3-0 sweep on the road over NAC East Division rival Brushton-Moira on Friday.
Nicole Smoke served up 18 points, including nine aces, and handed out seven assists as the Lady Shamrocks (10-2) won by scores of 25-17, 25-15, 25-16. Cassie Boardway (3 aces) and Kaitlyn Pickering (2 aces) contributed 10 points apiece while Kasennakohe David logged six points, nine kills and three aces.
The other NAC match of the night saw Chateaugay (12-0) beat Tupper Lake (2-8) in three straight (25-5, 25-10, 25-13).
