A man and a woman from Pulaski were being held Friday in the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building after being charged Thursday night in two shoplifting incidents at Salmon Run Mall, according to the Jefferson County Sheriffs Department.
Charles L. Carter, 26, of 4922 N. Jefferson St., and Autumn M. Lavanchard, 23, of 22 Delano St., are charged with two counts each of petit larceny and sixth-degree conspiracy. Bail was set for each at $500 by Adams Town Justice Donald B. Shaw.
They are accused of stealing items priced at $63.61 at Burlington Coat Factory and at $87.15 at J.C. Penney Co., deputies said.
