MASSENA Two Massena women were charged by state police with criminal possession of a hypodermic instrument following a traffic stop Thursday evening on East Orvis Street.
Troopers charged Karie A. Perry, 21, and Melinda S. Branham, 25, each with one count of the charge. Ms. Branham, who was driving the vehicle, also was cited with unlicensed operation, speeding and criminal possession of marijuana.
Both women were released on appearance tickets.
