BEAVER FALLS The Croghan Town Council will hold a special meeting Monday to hear from state officials concerning assessments.
The session will begin at 6:30 p.m. at the municipal office building, 9882 Route 126. The councils regular meeting will follow the special session.
Representatives from the state Office of Real Property Tax Services will be on hand to discuss equal and fair assessments and answer questions. Residents are invited to attend and participate.
The town in 2001 did a revaluation, setting assessments for all properties at 100 percent of their full market value. However, the town equalization rate has dropped since then and is now at 68 percent of full value.
