U.S. Rep. William L. Owens is planning stops today in Franklin and Lewis counties.

Mr. Owens, D-Plattsburgh, is slated at 2 p.m. to tour Shaheen’s Motel at 314 Park St., Tupper Lake, according to an itinerary.

He is then slated to meet at 5 p.m. with students at the South Lewis middle and high schools at 4264 East Road, Turin.

Following his visit to the school, Mr. Owens is expected to attend the Lewis County Democratic Party dinner in the Wax House at Snow Ridge Ski Resort, Turin.
