Volunteers for Democratic Rep. Bill Owens and Republican Matt Doheny are making last-minute leafletting pushes before Tuesday's election.
First, Mr. Owens. His flier is quite simple. It touts his endorsements from two Republicans and from Gov. Andrew Cuomo, mentions his role in helping create 2,000 jobs in the region, and also mentions his National Rifle Association nod.
No pictures. No nonsense. Just sweet, sweet bipartisan cred.
Then there's a few fliers from Mr. Doheny's camp. They show him pictured with Republican state Sens. Patty Ritchie and Betty Little. Neither faces a serious challenge — in fact, Ms. Little is unopposed.
Mrs. Ritchie could help him in St. Lawrence County, where she was the clerk for 10 years. And both could help him with the female vote. Mr. Owens' campaign has reportedly made a point of phoning Republican women, including Mr. Doheny's mom.
The Owens flier is attached as a photograph, while the Doheny fliers are .pdfs below.
