The town Council will be tasked with filling her position at Tuesdays meeting.
Town Clerk David J. Murray said he doesnt know what they are going to do to fill the position.
They havent advertised for it, he said.
Ms. Daviss official last day is on Nov. 30, but her last day at work was Nov. 2.
Mr. Murray said, in her absence, Ive had one letter and no phone calls [relating to codes].
Im sure well have someone temporarily in place Tuesday, he said.
Ms. Davis could not be reached for this article.
Her time as Code Inspector saw free building templates put up on the towns website that people can download and use for their homes to speed up the building process.
She also was an active crusader cracking down on the Amish community for any building code violations she found.
The next Code Inspector will face questions on how he or she will negotiate with the Amish.
