Its back again for the holidays.
The Greater Ogdensburg Chamber of Commerce has an eighth annual local history-friendly Christmas tree ornament to sell.
This year, the ornament depicts Ogdensburg Public Library, 312 Washington St.
The ornament is gift-boxed and includes a ribbon for hanging. It costs $18 and is available at the Chamber office at Bridge Plaza.
The theme for each ornament is selected by public vote at the annual Ogdensburg Expo trade show and fundraiser in March at Ogdensburg Free Academy.
The Chamber ornament collection includes, by year: 2005, Lighthouse Point; 2006, Spirit of Liberty, Soldiers and Sailors Monument; 2007, Frederic Remington Art Museum; 2008, New York State Armory; 2009, Ogdensburg City Hall; and 2010, the Ogdensburg-Prescott International Bridge; and 2011, the former Arsenal building, 6 Lafayette St.
Chamber Executive Director Sandra M. Porter said that 100 ornaments have been ordered. There is still a limited quantity of the other ornaments available, also at $18 apiece.
They all sold out (at first), Ms. Porter said. We were able to order some more.
For more information on the ornaments, call the Chamber office at 393-3620.
