Matt Sheppard of Waterloo became the first driver to win three straight Super DIRTcar Series big-block modified titles, as the final points standings have been released.
Sheppard held off a late charge by Brett Hearn to win the title. Sheppard collected 2,439 points while Hearn finished with 2,394. Jimmy Phelps, Justin Haers and Danny Johnson were in the top five.
Billy Dunn of Watertown finished sixth, and Rob Bellinger of Dexter finished ninth.
Dale Planck captured the small-block modified points title with 2,384. Matt Williamson finished second. Two Mohawk International Raceway drivers, Casey Terrance and Matt Billings, finished third and fourth, respectively. Mario Clair was fifth.
