CANTON — Tristen Thomas had 30 sets and seven assists for the Massena volleyball team, but the Red Raiders fell 25-20, 25-13, 25-12 to Section 2’s Johnstown in a state Class B quarterfinal match on Saturday at SUNY Canton.

Janisa Benedict had five kills for the Red Raiders (15-4).

Annie Stock led Johnstown with 17 kills and Jerica Holland had 15 assists.

VOORHEESVILLE 3,

SALMON RIVER 1

Kasennakohe David led the Shamrocks (14-6) with 15 points in a 13-25, 25-12, 25-18, 25-6 loss to Section 2’s Voorheesville in a state Class C quarterfinal at SUNY Canton.

Carolina Bablin scored 22 points to lead Voorheesville (21-0) and Libby Bjork scored 10 points with 30 assists for the Blackbirds.

HARTFORD 3, CHATEAUGAY 1

Gwen Harsha scored 17 points and added 12 kills as Section 2’s Hartford (18-2) defeated the Bulldogs 13-25, 25-12, 25-18, 25-6 in a Class D quarterfinal at SUNY Canton.

Morgan Wicks added eight points for Hartford. Carolyn Stumpf scored 12 points for Chateaugay (17-2) and Caitlin Miller provided 15 kills.
